Is there an easy
way to do this? >>> NO.

If you really want to do it anyway so you can get rid of the old node,
here is the hard way:

Rename the NEW node to TEMP.
Rename the OLD node to NEW.
EXPORT the archive data only for NEW to tape.

Rename NEW back to OLD.
Rename TEMP back to NEW.
IMPORT the data. It will be added to the filespaces for NEW.

Caveat: If NEW already has some archive data of its own, check out the
options available on the IMPORT command to tell TSM whether the old data
should be merged with the new, or replaced.

Subject: change archive ownership

We recently upgraded to a new database server, and took the old one out
of
commission. They are different TSM nodenames. The old node had lots of
archives that i'd like the new node to have access to. Is there an easy
way to do this? Ideally i'd like to just transfer ownership so a 'q
archive' on the new node would show all old archives as well.
