What is your OS level? if it's 5.3 ML5 and no SP's than it could BE an APAR that is fixed in SP2. Also there is an Oracle patch to go with it. I had this problem, don't recall the IBM APAR number, but this sounds like the same problem I had. Both the IBM APAR and Oracle patch will need to go on together.
