My DBA is trying to run a restore/verify on an oracle db (using RMAN). I don't know how else to describe the behavior except VERY slow. The entire db takes less than an hour to backup, but the restore/verify is estimating well over 100 hours to run. it does mount an input volume and is sending data to the client, but only a few mb/minute. When we run the same procedure against other db's the run time is comparable to the backup time. Has anyone ever seen anything like this?
