Hello Everyone, I thought you all might be able to point me in a direction to fix the issue I am having so here goes...
It would be good to note that I did a full backup of the ISC directory prior to the installs including a physical copy to another location per the install directions. I have upgraded the ISC to version 6.0.1 I then attempted to upgrade the AC to version 5.3.3.0, AC would not install but the ISC worked and the users were present so I rebooted the system. After several attempts and reboots I could not get the AC to install without failure... at this point AC was no longer there. I ran the uninstaller for AC and it did not detect it being installed. I then uninstalled the ISC to attempt a fix of the error as the log showed no information as to the issue with the install. After the uninstall and a reboot I ran the installer for ISC, it installed. I then ran the installer for AC and it installed without errors. So, this fixed the issue of AC not installing but it didn't restore any ISC User settings server connections ect. So I thought I would look back at the install manual again for more information. The information on restoring looks to be a full restore and this would take me back to ISC 5.1 and AC to 5.3.0.0, correct? This guy http://adsm.org/lists/html/ADSM-L/2007-09/msg00213.html had the same issue but the thread ends before it is resolved. Any Ideas? Backing up the Administration Center To back up the Administration Center, complete the steps listed for your system below where <isc_home> is the root directory for your Integrated Solutions Console installation and <iscadmin> and <iscpass> are a valid administrator user ID and password. AIX, Linux, or Sun Solaris 1. Run the command <isc_home>/Tivoli/dsm/bin/backupisc. For example: /opt/IBM/ISC/Tivoli/dsm/bin/backupisc Windows 1. Stop the Integrated Solutions Console by running the command <isc_home>\PortalServer\bin\StopISC.bat ISC_Portal <iscadmin> <iscpass>. For example: c:\Program Files\IBM\ISC\PortalServer\bin\StopISC.bat ISC_Portal iscadmin iscpass 2. Using the IBM Tivoli Storage Manager backup-archive client, back up the entire Integrated Solutions Console installation directory. For example, back up c:\Program Files\IBM\ISC.
