Ok...Thanks I would like to revoke access access after the restore (s)
has completed.

No, not unless you just want to, or your security department requires
you to revoke access.

Howard....Thanks for the reply I appreciate it.

I will try this...If successfully done do I have to do anything to
delete access and put it back to where it was originally?

Yes, either web interface, or the java client.

First from the originating node grant access to all backups to the node
you want to restore it to.
If the first node is not available change the dsm.sys file to show
nodename=abbott60 bring up a gui and grant access to the node you want
to restore files.
Then, change the dsm.sys file back, and restart the daemons for
webaccess.
In the web access client you can select "Access another Node" from the
"Utilities" drop down menu.
It will require you to login (preferably with an Admin ID with more

than

enough privileges).

Sorry...I think I was incorrect on the command line syntax would the
commands be the following?

Dsmc restore -fromn= abbott60 -fromo=costello63
"/siebtest2/filesystem/att"
-fromt=07:00:00 -fromd=02/28/2008

Dsmc restore -fromn= abbott60 -fromo=costello63
"/siebtest2/filesystem/userpref"
-fromt=07:00:00 -fromd=02/28/2008

thanks

Hello All,

Is there a way to do the restore this restore below from the GUI?

From: abbott80//siebprod2/filesystem (backed up from here)

To: costello27//siebtest2/filesystem (to be restored to here)

The 2 folders to be restored are:

att

userpref

Backup date should be 2/28

If not and I wanted to try to restore from the command line would the
syntax be the following.

Dsmc restore -fromn= abbott80 -fromo=costello27
"/siebtest2/filesystem/att" pitdate=02/28/2008 -pittime=07:00:00

Thanks for any help, comments or suggestions in advance!
