Hi, Do not upgrade to 5.5.0 because you got critical issues in 5.5.0 We have upgrade many servers to 5.5.1 and that works much better so upgrade to 5.5.1.

However there is a pretty critical problem with 5.5.0.x that is resolved in 5.5.1 so it is suggested you go to that level after upgrading to base 5.5 (you did not say what level you are coming from).
