But both the TSM BA Java Client (/opt/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin/dsmj) and ISC Installation Java Console starts. It is only during the installation it fails. In my eyes it should work fine.

The JRE is the interpreter. Without a JRE you cannot execute Java code which is the heart of the ISC. Regards, Nicholas
