A recent SAN system upgrade sort-of killed 19TB of storage volumes, making them "read only".
Since we are having pathing issues, plus we need to perform fsck on these volumes due to the journal being screwed-up, I wanted to disable use of these disk volumes without killing the server, if possible. When I look in the book for UPDATE VOLUME WHERESTATUS=OFFLINE, all it says is Update volumes with a status of OFFLINE . What exactly does that mean? What happens to the contents?
