Bit more background.

Policy at our firm is nvr run base or interem fix pack lvl in production.
Wait for 1st fix pack. No fix pack available.

Of course we do want 7.1 asap so we tested it. And, pretty much as
expected, the upgrade from v6.3 on our test environment ran into issues.
Apparently during the upgrade of the tsm database part diskspace checking
(on mounted disk) works not as intended. Tool couple of days with tivoli
support to find that out. Pretty easy to reproduce so delivering logs was
no issue. Should be fixed in higher lvl.

Friend from different firm tried to upgrade some other (production)
environment and also ran into upgrade issues causing him to have to roll
back.

As my production environment are all active-active clusters and the upgrade
process is still too much of a gamble we have made an adjustment to our
2014 road map. Instead of going to 7.1 we upgrade to 6.4 and check out 7.1
later this year.

Kind regards,

Karel
