If you need it for the work in the company, they must allow it.
Or they can use own nexus repository like (Nexus or Artifactory) which will 
work like local mirror/proxy for 3rd repositories, most companies use this 
at least because of performance and custom artifacts.

Some companies are weird. I also know one company where is forbidden to use 
anything build by Google, they must build everything from the source code 
:-)
