You are correct- as of version 0.8.14, the SDK is no longer included with 
Android Studio. More information on why this change was made is available in 
the 0.8.14 release notes

You can download the SDK from the Android SDK page 
<https://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html?hl=i> of the developer's 
site. Click "Get the SDK for an Existing IDE" to find the link to download 
the standalone SDK.
