I suppose every developer you have ever talked to has come from a programming background that, up until recently, had to only target a 320 * 480 px screen eh? No wonder they hate the variety in form factors and screen sizes and OS versions offered by Android. No wonder they hate the very tools that make this astounding diversity not only possible, but downright easy to work with.
Having used both XCode and Android tooling (Eclipse+ADT and Android Studio) - I can definitely vouch for the power and flexibility of the Android tooling ecosystem. Kudos to Xav and team.
