The code at https://android.googlesource.com/platform/tools/base/+/master/build-system/gradle-experimental/ appears to be somewhat out-of-date. I would like to dig into https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=206102. The 0.7.0 source is available in a jar on bintray, but it would be much easier to not need to recreate the non-java files that are not present in the jar.
