"Expert ASP.NET 2.0 Advanced Application Design" (by Dominic Selly, Tom Barnaby, and Andrew Troelsen) has been a pretty good read (though I'm not finished). There's some very general discussion of the kinds of tradeoffs you need to make (like which way you should handle Session storage depending on your needs), and descriptions of a number of the new features. Some of the coverage is pretty superficial, but it seems a good overview.
It's $59.99 (they say that's the list price) at Amazon. Using AddALL (thanks for that, BTW) finds Bookpool having it for about half that ($27.25).
