IE 6, on my systems, "open new window" runs in separate processes (there's no setting for that anymore). Both my versions of Word and Excel (2000, 2003) do not increase the number of threads it creates new document windows. </quote> I currently have 15 browser windows open and 9 copies of iexplore.exe running. If I click a link that launches a new window then one of those processes gets a new thread. If I click File/New/Window then I get a new thread. If I launch from the shell then I get a new process. I'm running IE6 on Win2003 Regards Richard Blewett - DevelopMentor =================================== This list is hosted by DevelopMentorĀ® http://www.develop.com View archives and manage your subscription(s) at http://discuss.develop.com
