Having said that, I have just come across the PrivateFontCollection class. "You can use a PrivateFontCollection object to maintain a set of fonts specifically for your application. A private font collection can include installed system fonts as well as fonts that have not been installed on the computer."
There is an AddMemoryFont method to add a font that is contained in system memory. So I think I can read the font data from the resource add it to a PrivateFontCollection and use it. (?)
