Hi guys, thanks for suggestions...

The project is not ASP.Net, it's a custom MVC built for the projects
requirements (multilingual, most data available in multiple formats:
(x)html, (x)html for mobile devices, csv, pdf etc)... started before there
was any notion of Microsoft MVC.

I just might have the option to upgrade it to 3.5 (just installed vs2008
this weekend...), so I'll have a look what wcf offers. The original plan was
to use just jquery for client-side, but could speed it up to use a framework
like google's (or yahoo's).
