I really must disagree that it would be a perfect replacement/alternative. I took a look at it and it's a nice site and I'm sure I'll visit it from time to time and maybe even ask/answer a question or two. Nevertheless, there is too much "noise" on that site; too many distractions that take away the simplicity of this format for asking questions from our peers. Additionally, this format is more personal in that the messages appear in "your" inbox (something that I'm sure all of us check quite regularly throughout the day) instead of visiting a website.
