Love the idea. Thanks for listing me as a leader, but I'm not sure I'll have time to actively help manage the project itself. However, I'm more than happy to participate and be a mentor for things that I do on OpenSolaris. > List of Community Groups Sponsoring the project: > Advocacy Community Group > > List of project team members: > Brian Gupta(O.S. id: brandorr), primary contact > Elijah Wright(O.S. id: Elijah), alternate contact > Jim Grisanzo(O.S. id: jimgris) > Fauzia Saeed(O.S. id: foz) > Rob Giltrap(O.S. id: thermo) > > Project Description: To pair Senior developers and sysadmins with > junior developers and sysadmins to learn various aspects of OS > development and adminsistration. You may want to consider other things as well, such as docs, evangelism, presentations, marketing, and user issues, etc. I think this will be particularly important as Indiana makes its way out there and we are introduced to large numbers of new people. If you are only focusing on developers and sysadmins, that's fine, but I just wanted to make sure that everyone was fine with that as well. A big complaint about OpenSolaris is that we are not offering enough for non-technical people to do. Perhaps I'm suggesting too much. Perhaps that's too much for one project to attempt to tackle. Just a though for discussion. > The desire is to expand the community of OpenSolaris developers and > admins, which will help in the long run goal of building a > self-sufficient community.
