It is very nice to hear some encouraging comments. So here are a few
more questions before I get started.

1. Setting up the user group

Indeed setting up an OSUG and having the benefit of some web space on
opensolaris.org sounds good and I can initiate the process. I guess it
is ok to be part of more than one OSUG?

Because this OSUG is not geography specific you would have to change
the consitution draft you blogged about a few days ago, because it
specifically states that OSUG need to be geographically bound :-)

Maybe it would be interesting to found VOSUG (if the name is not yet
taken) Virtual OSUG which can act as an OSUG for all those that do not
have an OSUG in their vicinity. Events could for example be hosted in
SecondLife, meetings could be held in chatrooms etc. and it could be
used as the OpenSolaris lending group on kiva.org. Or am I taking the
idea a little too far?

2. The LOGO

The trademark documents that you sent me really encourage usage of the
opensolaris banners and badges on the Internet. They were created with
the intention of spreading the word about opensolaris. The only thing
that in my mind would not quite adhere to the license agreement is
that the image would link to lending group page instead of the
opensolaris website (a link to an opensolaris webpage will be found on
the lending group page) and that we would have to upload the image
instead of retrieving it from an OpenSolaris server.
The badges found here are just beautiful artwork and would fit the purpose well:

But of course if you recommend going with fair use I would check for
images on flickr.com, I think you posted a few pictures tagged with
opensolaris. Maybe there is a specific one you could recommend?

Thank you so far,
Alex
