Google AdWords,

Over the weekend a number of our account campaigns experienced what now
appears to be significant reporting errors on conversion counts for 36
hours from 12:00 AM PDT on 9 Jun 2012 till about 12:00 PM PDT on 10 Jun
2012.

We collect and save campaign performance data on regular basis, and the
data clearly shows elevated conversion counts (up to 10x) being reported
during this period that is now showing significantly lower conversions
counts. Even the hourly data through AdWords does not show this elevated
period of conversion reporting now; it has all been corrected. But this
does not change that the information we were provided for 36 hours by
AdWords API was significantly wrong, resulting in money being lost due to
this misinformation on conversions.

What happened? How is this possible?

Our clients that experienced this invalid reporting made decisions and lost
significant money during this 36 hour period of misreporting. How can this
be addressed?

Help in understanding and resolving is appreciated.

Best regards,
ADM
