Hello, I have a problem firing the Google Adwords pixels from Client side to server side.
my objective is to import into GA data for registration and deposit events that occur within 3rd party secure pages accessed via 3rd party software and mobile applications (iOS webapps, Android AIR and HTML5). In addition, although the 3rd party developer does provide server-side pixels for these events, they do not provide client-side pixels. These events are replicated to my databases in real-time. I know of three possible solutions to integrating this data with GA: 1. 3rd party agrees to provide client-side pixels. a. Currently, not on their roadmap. b. Also, would not resolve cross-browser limitations on PC software which uses IE version no matter what browser customer is uses to download to client 2. 3rd party agree to include GA scripts in secure areas a. So far, not amenable to this solution 3. Implementation of Tag Management System that can handle our various platforms above I have attempted to simulate client-side GA script triggered by server-side pixels I received from 3rd party provider but were not successful. Registrations and purchases were not attached to unique user even though I passed GA user id in script, and were seen as new users. I cannot believe that we are the only company that finds itself in this predicament, faced with a need to report to GA key events and goals that do not occur directly on user’s client machine and on web site. I am eager to find a solution and hope that somebody here will be able to assist me in finding one.
