Hi Dave, Is there any chance you could capture either Xdebug <http://xdebug.org/>* output or XHProf <https://github.com/facebook/xhprof>* output on these running scripts to allow us to suggest a solution / improve the library. Also, any information you're willing to share with us about the environment would be useful.
Some suggestions whilst we look into this further: - Has there been a proxy introduced recently? Slightly misconfigured, could cause delays in communications. - What is the result for a ping to the adwords.google.com servers? - Have you recently updated your server environment?
