Hi

i wanted to have a simple way with oAuth2 to get anonymous access to client
data with access tokens. First i thought that following the web server
application
(https://developers.google.com/accounts/docs/OAuth2?hl=de-DE#webserver)
would be the right way for me since i am running a web server application
^^ Then i read about Service Accounts and as i understand it a Service
Account (with the private key) is for my application to authenticate itself.
But what i do not understand is do i still need a web server application
client id to send my client to google for getting an authorization token
etc etc or does a service account by itself also provide this?
In other words does a Service Account the same as a Web Server Application
except it in addition authenticates itself with a private key?

thx for the information
