Today we’re announcing the release of AdWords API v201601 <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/#v201601>. This is the first release that follows the new release schedule announced earlier this month <http://googleadsdeveloper.blogspot.com/2016/01/new-release-schedule-for-adwords-api.html>. Here are the highlights: - *Reporting improvements.* Several new fields were added to the VIDEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/video-performance-report>. New quality score and first position bid fields were added to the CRITERIA_PERFORMANCE_REPORT <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/criteria-performance-report> and KEYWORDS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/keywords-performance-report>, and a new PARENTAL_STATUS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/parental-status-performance-report> was added. See the reporting section of the release notes <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/#v201601-reporting> for the complete list of changes, including all fields removed or added in this release. - *Improved batch processing.* The BatchJobService <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201601/BatchJobService> was improved to reduce latency when uploading operations for a job. Check out the updated Batch Processing guide <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/batch-jobs> for details. - *Managing customer accounts.* You can now update the ManagedCustomer.name <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201601/ManagedCustomerService.ManagedCustomer#name> of accounts under your account manager using a SET operation. - *Advanced conversions.* You can control whether the Conversions column and conversion-based bid strategies include cross-device conversions <https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/6238665> via the new optimizeOnEstimatedConversions <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201601/CustomerService.ConversionTrackingSettings#optimizeonestimatedconversions> attribute ofCustomer.conversionTrackingSettings <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201601/CustomerService.Customer#conversiontrackingsettings> . - *Enhanced CPC bidding.* Setting the enhancedCpcEnabled attribute <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201601/BiddingStrategyService.ManualCpcBiddingScheme#enhancedcpcenabled> of a ManualCpcBiddingScheme is now supported in the API. Previously, this setting was read-only. - *Targeting.* The new Parent <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201601/CampaignCriterionService.Parent> criteria type is available for targeting and bidding according to a user's parental status on the Display Network. In addition, ConstantDataService <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201601/ConstantDataService> now supports retrieving the lists ofmobile app category <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/mobileappcategories> and new smartphone user <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/smartphone-userinterest> criteria.
