Yes, you can ignore the advanced settings if you are only creating a 
standard campaign. If you are looking at the sample AddCampaigns.php 
<https://github.com/googleads/googleads-php-lib/blob/master/examples/AdWords/v201601/BasicOperations/AddCampaigns.php>
 code, 
wherever it is marked optional in the comment, you can remove those lines 
if you don't need those features.
