You may note that to see the metrics and segments that can be put in the same 
SELECT clause as the fields of ad_group , you can refer to this documentation 
by clicking “Yes, it is” in the dropdown box.

- The dropdown box specifies in what part of the query you use the resource 
(ad_group ). For example, you want to get the selectable fields in the 
ad_group, so you will click "Yes, it is" and the compatible fields will be 
displayed.

I would also recommend to still use the Google Ads Query Builder and Query 
Validator tools for constructing queries.
