Rendering images "in page" is fairly easy with Markdown on GitHub.

It's how the screenshot is shown in-line for the repo README page here:

For the "where to keep the images", maybe we just need a new GitHub
repo to put them in, so they can be referenced from?

For the DNS part of things, Francesco knows how to set it up and
get it done.  That's not an area I touched with the main website
migration. :)
