Fret not, Alexei -- my whimpering was facetious. Meantime I'm working on a
response to the second half of your stimulus-response email.
I meant to tack onto my last that indeed Databack doesn't handle all the
formats the way Indiana did. We'll ask them about accents ague etc. Initially
my
postings through Databack were hitting the forum all marred by gobbly-gook
whenever I used double-quotes. But the guy who runs Databack had the solution:
I
had to disable Word's "smart quotes". Word's auto-format for quotes is "curly
quotes" -- where the " is curled forward at the beginning of the "dialog", and
backward at the end. Kinda dandy, but Databack can't do that, so, indeed, I
simply disabled smart quotes and that fixed it.
