Of course, I struggle all the time. Articulation in words or in any other medium takes an conscious effort. Thoughts and ideas are kind of fluid. Flowing, being blocked, resurfacing, etc. If there is no words for your thought, chances are you my use your hand gestures or make some funny sound. Many writers put down their first thoughts in words - the draft, and then they rewrite again and again until words expressed are just right for them. Painters go through many stages of painting until all the incongruities are resolved. Again thoughts are always there, then you decide in what form or medium you want to express. Sometimes you remember the taste of certain food in your mouth, but if you have a limited vocabulary, you won't be able to express it fully.
