As I said in another message, skill in one area and lack of skill in
another can give one insights into both. My strength in visual art and
utter lack of it in creating stories or narratives gives me a way to
understand narrative by my lack of the talent and by others' lack of
visual skills. Kinda like the way surveillance and spy operations
ferret out insights, not from what they hear or read, but from what
they don't hear or read. "The dog that didn't bark," as they put it in
detective stories.
