I've never heard even the wackiest psycho-hippie claim to see auras around objects. But there are fields of energy around living things -- like people.- I've felt and interacted with them. So I'm not doubting that some people can actually see them. (Remember the scene in "Seven Samurai" when Takashi Shimura senses that Toshiro Mifune is lurking in the darkness behind a doorway?
