Overlooked by whom? I happen to know Jerry Saltz who is much involved as a
participant on that forthcoming TV reality show. As a major art critic, I
think he separates the fun of the show from the reality of art in the world
--- although I do think he stands very close to the boiling cauldron where
high art and low culture can steam up his glasses. Almost all serious
artists, and good ones, are overlooked. They will remain overlooked.

Think
of all the people who led very productive lives, achieved much, and then
after
they died, the material records of their whole lives could fit into a
shoebox,
scarcely covering the bottom. I've seen that over and over again.

But is a work of art so
different from a performance on a reality
show? Won't you be overlooked:

-
If your work/performance is "more subtle and less daring than those
of
[your]...peers" and if you are "...drawn to the fragile and
transient?
