Certainly money and wealth are dealt with in abundance in fiction, film and theater. There aren't many songs about cancer or arthritis. The scope of a poem may limit its apt subjects. I've been informed it was not Frost but Poe who said, "There's no such thing as a long poem." He was evidently commenting on the exhaustibility of the reader. Dance and non-vocal classical music are great enterprises, but not "about" a vast range of "topics".
