I've done that, but I use a narrower spade.  I have doubts about something that wide penetrating the soil around here.

I always thought this device looked interesting. Obviously not good for hard pan or really rocky areas but looks effective.

Do you trench, bore, plow, missile, or?  We have a nice little stand behind Ditch Witch drop plow that works well in yards.  Very fast too.

I charge $5/ft for quad 1.25” ducts with my big RT120 plow. So that is a realistic upper limit. Depends on what kind of machine and whether you are doing it ac a pure contractor, or doing it for yourself at cost, or doing it at just payroll and fuel to minimize the bite.

Do you guys charge to plow in a drop cable?  If so, how much.

I know someone who's getting a 1/4 mile drop plowed up to his house by a competitor and they're charging him about $600.  That works out to $.50/foot.

My initial thought was I'd do 300' for free and then $1/foot.  Then I'd be at about $1,000 for something the other guys are doing for $600. I'm not looking to rob myself, but also not looking to price myself out of the market.
