We use Hologram quite a bit. Buying the SIM is one thing, activating it is
another. If you haven't logged into the Hologram portal yet and setup your SIM
you should. Make sure you name it apporpriately so you know which one you are
fiddling with. Once that is done you should be able to just plug it into
anything that supports that kind of SIM and go to town.

Hello,

Dredging up an old topic here.... I just got a Netgear LB1120 and a Hologram
SIM card. So far, I haven't been able to make this thing work.

TJ-- It looks as simple as activating the SIM card, installing it, and setting
the APN of "hologram" in the Netgear. Is that about it, or am I missing
something?

Thank you!

They are a global aggregation service that is designed for iot apps. My plans
are all 40 cents per month plus a per MB price. I got billed $3 one month and
they ended up refunding half of it. They have a bunch of built in tools
designed to help with the whole NAT tunnel issue.

If you just need occasional or out of band access I have found none better. You
can use their dashboard to turn sims on or off as often as you like which stops
the monthly. You pay $5 for each sim up front and use whatever modem you like.

If your modem supports it, it will connect to almost any carrier in the world.

They are both really cheap and really good. I have been using it for months. I
think my highest bill has been three dollars. I use it intermittently.

I have the 1120 connected to all of our CCR's using
hologram.io<http://hologram.io> service because they include a VPN to get
inbound access, they were the only guys I could find that would provide a non
nat connection or at-least a way to get through the cellular network NAT
without paying the crazy monthly price and setup fee for att or verizon and a
static ip
