I remember an attorney needing to get AES security on a canopy unit due to the
extremely sensitive nature of his communications. I pointed out to him that
the cat 5 cable running through the ceiling panels of his commercial office
building could be sniffed. No problem he said, it was the wireless encryption
he was worried about.

Can is one thing. Will is completely different. Thats my point. Some vendors
just aren't goinig through the effort to certify virtualized installs. I am not
defending it, just that is a fact. Bank are about as bad as anyone about being
slow to change. I think the whole 2000 mania was a good example of that.

There are very good reasons why customers don't it can't virtualize.
The big one is that the vendor they use won't support it. You can flail at
that windmill on why they won't, but in the end most customers won't go against
a vendor recommendation.

I'd probably just walk away. There's no reason they can't virtualize,
they're just a stick in the mud and not worth the hassle.

Client doesn't want to visualize any if it (and largely can't). Is a bank
with multiple vendors supporting multiple platforms

KVM is largely unnecessary anymore. VMs or containers replace most physical
machines and DRAC, IP-KVM, etc. replace the need to KVM the hosts.
