I am reminded of a story of a youth that got into some kind of behavioral trouble. Drugs, alcohol, immorality something along those lines. When asked how the kid even knew of the behavior he said that he first became aware of it at church during a talk by a church leader against those things. A free press can be a dangerous thing, but I don’t want to live in a world without a free press.
I am lucky enough to be old enough to remember carefree days in the 1960s where we had to come home during summers when it started to get dark. And in Oregon that could be 9:30 pm. We were innocent about the horrible things that happen in the world. Today’s youth don’t get a world like that. All of the ugliness of humanity is a click away. But at least here, on this list, we can simply choose to salivate over what lunch Jaime had. You can all avoid stinker movies if one of us is kind enough to warn us away from them and we can all get quick answers from the hundreds of experts that hang out here on almost all aspects of our technical world.
