Using Baofeng and Retevis VHF murs frequencies with DTMF control. Not terribly happy with the range. It is only reliable for 2-3 miles at most. Going to get some 5/8ths wave mag mount for the vehicle but not sure that is going to help all that much. Could try UHF but I doubt it will be much better.
