Other than making sure you have the newest version of CNUT, not sure why you are getting stuck there.... As for the updating SM's in CnMaestro, I usually never have any issues. Sometimes I will get a few sms that get stuck and have to kill the update job if I remember, than I usually remotely power cycle those sms and try again. That has only happened a few times.
