Out of 3500 workers on the Empire State Building somewhere between 5-14 of them died.  The reports aren't even consistent for some reason.  The "official" number was 5, but one of the newspapers printed 14.  Maybe they didn't "officially" count the Irish.

The Freedom Tower also had about 3500 workers, and 2 deaths. 

It makes you wonder whether a hundred years of safety rules really matter all that much.
