At age 13 I shot a kid in the leg with a .177 pneumatic which was fully pumped up.  He went to the hospital to have the BB removed.

.....turns out any gunshot wound has to be reported to the police.  That turned into a not fun day.

On the other hand that guy learned not to try and shove snow down the pants of an armed individual.  That's worth it.  I probably saved his life. ;)

Just a regular old spring powered lever action BB gun hurts like a MF if you catch a BB in your butt.

That's a pneumatic rifle?  1100fps is about the speed of sound.  That's got to be about at the limit for an air gun.

My pellet gun is close to that. Shoots a 22 gauge pellet at 1100 fps. Almost as good as a regular 22, but way more quiet.

What's going to keep this thing happening is the people who disregard guidance of how to prevent spreading. We're not just dealing with a virus.   We're dealing with skeptical and disrespectful and disrespectable people.

I just found out this morning that my literal backyard neighbor has tested positive for Covid-19. He and his wife tested positive, his parents who live the basement also tested positive, his mom of which is in the hospital.
So….. We are a bit freaked out.
Fortunately we haven’t had physical contact with them in weeks.
However I’ve noticed their kids were in the field, our shared backyard, playing with other neighbor kids within the past two weeks. We don’t let our boys anywhere near anyone else for about two weeks now anyways, so I’m praying we don’t have it (yet). On another note, I think our main field tech might have contracted it. He’s not feeling so well, we told him to go home for a couple of weeks.
