It is standard practice in the camping world to take a water jug (of whatever type), and pour a cap-full of bleach into it. You then swish it around to coat the sides of the jug & then dump out any remainder. Then fill with water. The residual bleach will kill the nasties for a week or two (at least).

Actually I do drink from a Clorox bottle every morning.  I have it full of water and I use to wash down a metformin.  When I was a kid, bleach bottles were what we used for canteens.  After the Clorox issue being in the news, I saw an empty bleach bottle in the laundry room, rinsed it out and filled it just for fun.

You take it intravenously or orally?

My daily dose of Clorox seems to be working just fine for me.
