Try Ekinops or packetlight It all depends on what you are trying to do.
I have had some success with the fiberstore stuff and some nightmares.
If you are wanting to move up to 100G+ I would go with another vendor
just for support reasons. Also buy enough equipment that you have at
least one spare for everything with FS...
You would be surprised what you might get for 20% more in cost.
Depending on the number of channels you plan on using may be cheaper for
a 100/200G with a 10x100G OTU4 card vis 10G per channel optics due to
not having to have dispersion compensation. They have more of a fix gain
type amp so make sure you have a full Fiber optic characterization with
otdr, CMD, and PMD. It would suck to have the wrong equipment installed.
That is if your looking in to an EDFA if they quoted an OTN system with
transponders/sfps at each location to regen the signal, then definitely
go with someone else...

Passive mux’ is as cheap as you are going to find. On the other end
of the spectrum is Ciena, Lucent etc. Big big dollars.

We are connecting to a DC using dark fiber that we need to light up
with a DWDM solution, with one regen spot and one regular breakout
spot. We received quotes from Fiberstore.com and are looking for a
2^nd quote “just because”.
I know FS is known as a good value, but didn’t know if there is
another vendor we should be considering.
