Instead of a professionally installed outdoor “cantenna”, they use an indoor LTE modem, yet somehow it is faster than their previous LTE based service, and has no data cap.

Either Verizon knows something we don’t, or more likely just like in the early days of DSL, the key to making the service profitable is to eliminate the truck roll and have the customer do an indoor self-install.
