So for my small UPS's I've always just gotten equivalent Volt/AH
batteries and they fit in. I had a SmartUPS1000 that used 2 12V12AH
batteries. I bought a new set of 12V12AH batteries, and they are about
1/8" taller than the old batteries and wouldn't fit in without modifying
the case. I always just thought there was some 'standard' where all
batteries of the same V/AH are the same physical dimensions. Is that
not the case? I've never had a problem getting 12V18ah-22AH batteries
to fit in other UPSs, as long as the studs on top are positioned correctly.
