I don't see any problem with doing what you were planning on. The other option I was talking about would be to go with the RF Elements Carrier Class horns (which are basically the same thing, they just have N connectors instead of the twist port). But it looks like using the TP horn with the SMA adapter (which essentially just gives you a horn withRP-SMA ports) is $40-50 a piece cheaper, so I'd probably just go with that. The only downside I see is that it's an extra part to deal with, but it probably isn't really any different as far as loss goes.
