We use credoid here, pretty cheap. Picked up HID stuff on ebay super cheap to make a system here (about a dozen doors, some with both nfc and pin and some just nfc / hid).

It seems like either I have to be an installer, or it has to be an internet-connected thing, or has a monthly fee. I am aware of the unifi stuff from UBNT, not sure how I feel about that, but if I don't find another option, I'll give that a try.
