There was a brief time in 18th century revolutionary France when terms like “Sir”, and “Madam” were seen as too much like supporting aristocracy and therefore monarchy. Some people insisted on using the terms “citizen” and “citizeness”. It didn’t last because it was stupid.
Nobody’s going to learn 66 additional personal pronouns. Some jackasses will say they should be called “Zie” and most people will ignore them. A few will try to politely do it, and a few smart alecs will tell Zim to Zuck Zieself. ….and then it will fade into a historical curiosity like the titles “citizen” and “citizeness”.
