Lots of companies do it this way as well. Are you looking for a way to use the half stick you are throwing away? Or a replacement for the PVC? There are pex flaring tools that might be able to flare the PVC if you heat it, I think that is what TJ Trout is suggesting.
On amazon there is this tool: VOTOER Hydraulic Tube Expander Tool 7 Lever HVAC Swaging Kit 3/8 to 1-1/8inch Copper Tube Expander Tool with Tube Cutter and Deburring Tool Would a stick of metal electrical conduit be any cheaper (EMT). Not sure if irrigation funny pipe comes in sizes that large. Non split smurf tube? My drop conduit is 3/4" HDPE, but my ONT closure accepts 1" PVC. I had been just using the flared end of a stick of PVC and tension fitting it to the HDPE, but with PVC prices skyrocketing I'd like to find a better way to do this since I use a 10ft stick for each install and then throw the rest away. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- AF mailing list AF@af.afmug.com http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com
